August 4 Krystal 93 Colorado Fishing Report
August 04th, 2011
GOOD MORNING SUMMIT COUNTY, I’M ANDREW WITH THE COLORADO ANGLER AND THIS IS YOUR HIGH COUNTRY FISHING REPORT FOR THURSDAY, AUGUST 4TH.
AFTERNOON RAINS CONTINUE TO HAVE AN IMPACT ON FISHING IN THE HIGH COUNTRY AS THE MONSOONAL FLOW LINGERS IN THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN PART OF THE STATE. ALTHOUGH NOT AS INTENSE AS TUESDAY, YESTERDAY’S RAIN HAS KEPT SOME LOCAL RIVERS SLIGHTLY HIGHER AND A LITTLE MORE OFF COLOR THAN THEY STARTED THE WEEK.
WITH THIS CURRENT PATTERN, RIVERS TO THE NORTH OF I 70 HAVE GENERALLY STAYED A LITTLE MORE STABLE AND MAY BE A SAFER DESTINATION FOR ANGLERS IN SEARCH OF QUALITY CONDITIONS.
CERTAINLY THE TAILWATER EFFECT ON THE BLUE RIVER NORTH OF SILVERTHORNE HELPS KEEP IT IN GOOD SHAPE AND THERE ARE PLENTY OF HATCHING INSECTS FOR ANGLERS TO CHOOSE FROM. ACTION HAS BEEN GOOD ON A VARIETY OF PATTERNS IMITATING CADDIS, YELLOW SALLY AND PALE MORNING DUNS.
ANOTHER SOLID OPTION IS THE WILLIAMS FORK RIVER WHERE FLOWS HAVE RETURNED TO SUMMER LEVELS AND FISH HAVE ONCE AGAIN SPREAD OUT THROUGH THE ENTIRE RIVER. CLARITY REMAINS EXCELLENT AS WELL AND ACTION HAS BEEN PRODUCTIVE.
AS ALWAYS, FOR MORE DETAILED INFORMATION ON THESE OPTIONS AND OTHER TIPS FOR FINDING FISH, COME BY AND SEE US AT THE COLORADO ANGLER IN THE SUMMIT PLACE SHOPPING CENTER IN SILVERTHORNE, NEXT TO BLUE MOON BAKERY OR GIVE US A CALL AT 970.513.8055 AND BE SURE TO CHECK OUT OUR WEBSITE AT WWW.THECOLORARADOANGLER.COM FOR MORE DETAILED INFORMATION.
