July 16 Krystal 93 Fishing Report
July 16th, 2011
GOOD MORNING SUMMIT COUNTY, I’M ANDREW WITH THE COLORADO ANGLER AND THIS IS YOUR HIGH COUNTRY FISHING REPORT FOR SATURDAY, JULY 16TH.
STREAM CONDITIONS CONTINUE TO IMPROVE AND NEW OPTIONS ARE OPENING DAILY FOR ANGLERS TO FIND GOOD FISHING OPPORTUNITIES ON MOVING WATER.
THIS WEEKEND WOULD BE A GOOD TIME TO GET OUT AND EXPLORE SOME OF THIS NEW POTENTIAL.
RIVER LEVELS ON THE UPPER ARKANSAS HAVE STEADILY DROPPED AND ARE BEGINNING TO OPEN UP MORE TROUT WATER. IN THE HAYDEN MEADOWS AREA, THE CADDIS HATCH IS IN FULL SWING. WHILE STREAM FLOWS ARE STILL A LITTLE HIGH, ANGLERS THAT ARE WILLING TO COVER A LITTLE MORE WATER SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIND FISH WILLING TO COME UP TO A WELL PLACED DRY. START WITH A STIMULATOR OR A PEACOCK CADDIS.
OVER ON THE EAGLE RIVER THE FISHING IS IMPROVING DAILY AS FLOWS ARE DROPPING QUICKLY. THERE ARE GOOD AMOUNTS OF ADULT CADDIS AND STONEFLIES HATCHING. FISHERMEN SHOULD CONCENTRATE THEIR EFFORTS ALONG THE EDGES, WHERE POCKETS OF QUIET WATER ALLOW FOR GOOD HOLDING AREAS FOR TROUT LOOKING FOR A QUICK MEAL.
AS ALWAYS, FOR MORE DETAILED INFORMATION ON THESE OPTIONS AND OTHER TIPS FOR FINDING FISH, COME BY AND SEE US AT THE COLORADO ANGLER IN THE SUMMIT PLACE SHOPPING CENTER IN SILVERTHORNE, NEXT TO BLUE MOON BAKERY OR GIVE US A CALL AT 970.513.8055 AND BE SURE TO CHECK OUT OUR WEBSITE AT WWW.THECOLORARADOANGLER.COM FOR MORE DETAILED INFORMATION.
