August 27 Krystal 93 Colorado Fishing Report
August 27th, 2011
GOOD MORNING SUMMIT COUNTY, I’M ANDREW WITH THE COLORADO ANGLER AND THIS IS YOUR HIGH COUNTRY FISHING REPORT FOR SATURDAY, AUGUST 27TH.
TODAY’S BIG NEWS IS DEFINETLY THE PRO CYCLING CHALLENGE COMING TO TOWN. SEEING AS IT IS GOING TO SPLIT THE COUNTY IN HALF FROM NORTH TO SOUTH IT WILL CERTAINLY HAVE AN IMPACT ON GETTING TO THE WATER. THE WAY WE SEE IT, THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO MAKE THIS WORK.
FIRST HEAD SOUTH OR WEST. CHECK OUT THE FISHING ALONG THE SOUTH PLATTE OVER IN SOUTH PARK WHERE HOPPER DROPPER FISHING HAS BEEN PRODUCTIVE. OR THE ARKANSAS RIVER FROM LEADVILLE ALL THE WAY DOWN TO BROWN’S CANYON IS OFFERING GREAT ACTION TO ANGLERS ON MILES OF PUBLIC ACESS. AND TO THE WEST THERE IS THE EAGLE WITH LOW AND CLEAR FLOWS, WADE FISHING IS PRIME.
THE OTHER WAY TO FISH AROUND THE RACE IS TO GO EARLY AND STAY LATE, WHICH SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT IDEA TO US. GET OUT TO THE RIVER BEFORE 11 AM WHEN THE ROAD CLOSURES ARE EXPECTED TO START AND DON’T LEAVE THE RIVER UNTIL AFTER 4 PM. THIS WAY YOU WILL STILL BE ABLE TO ENJOY THE FISHING ALONG THE COLORADO, WHICH HAS BEEN PRODUCING SOME EXCELLENT RESULTS LATELY.
FOR MORE DETAILED INFORMATION ON THESE OPTIONS AND OTHER TIPS FOR FINDING FISH, COME BY AND SEE US AT THE COLORADO ANGLER IN THE SUMMIT PLACE SHOPPING CENTER IN SILVERTHORNE, NEXT TO BLUE MOON BAKERY OR GIVE US A CALL AT 970.513.8055.
