August 5 Krystal 93 Colorado Fishing Report
August 05th, 2011
GOOD MORNING SUMMIT COUNTY, I’M ANDREW WITH THE COLORADO ANGLER AND THIS IS YOUR HIGH COUNTRY FISHING REPORT FOR FRIDAY, AUGUST 5TH.
AFTERNOON RAINS CONTINUE TO HAVE AN IMPACT ON FISHING IN THE HIGH COUNTRY, PARTICULARLLY TO THE SOUTH AND WEST. ALTHOUGH NOT AS INTENSE AS THE PREVIOUS TWO DAYS, YESTERDAY’S RAIN HAS KEPT SOME LOCAL RIVERS SLIGHTLY HIGHER AND A LITTLE MORE OFF COLOR THAN THEY STARTED THE WEEK.
THE TREND DOES APPEAR TO BE DRIER AND WITH THAT WE ARE EXPECTING ANOTHER GREAT WEEKEND OUT ON COLORADO’S MANY FISHERIES.
THE CONDITIONS ON THE BLUE CONTINUE TO IMPROVE FOR DRY FLY ENTHUSIASTS AS WATER TEMPS IN TOWN ARE UP TO A VERY PLEASANT 56 DEGREES, SPURRING HATCHES OF CADDIS AND PALE MORNING DUNSS ALL THE WAY UP TO THE MIDDLE OF SILVERTHORNE. IT’S A GREAT TIME TO GET OUT AND ENJOY THE OFTEN OVERLOOKED DRY FLY ACTION ON THIS NORMALLY TOUGH RIVER.
AND UP ON THE COLORADO ABOVE PARSHALL, FLOWS HAVE DROPPED DOWN TO JUST ABOUT 900 CFS WHICH OFFERS WADE FISHERMAN IMPROVED ACCESSABILITY FOR ENJOYING THE SUMMER HATCHES.
AS ALWAYS, FOR MORE DETAILED INFORMATION ON THESE OPTIONS AND OTHER TIPS FOR FINDING FISH, COME BY AND SEE US AT THE COLORADO ANGLER IN THE SUMMIT PLACE SHOPPING CENTER IN SILVERTHORNE, NEXT TO BLUE MOON BAKERY OR GIVE US A CALL AT 970.513.8055 AND BE SURE TO CHECK OUT OUR WEBSITE AT WWW.THECOLORARADOANGLER.COM FOR MORE DETAILED INFORMATION.
