August 8 Krystal 93 Colorado Fishing Report
August 08th, 2011
GOOD MORNING SUMMIT COUNTY, I’M ANDREW WITH THE COLORADO ANGLER AND THIS IS YOUR HIGH COUNTRY FISHING REPORT FOR MONDAY, AUGUST 8TH.
DRY AND STABLE WEATHER CONDITIONS CONTINUE TO COVER THE CENTRAL MOUNTAINS WITH SUNSHINE, IF YOU HAVEN’T GOTTEN OUT ON THE WATER TO EXPERIENCE HOW GREAT SUMMER FLY FISHING IN COLORADO CAN BE, THIS LOOKS LIKE THE WEEK TO DO IT.
THE ARKANSAS REMAINS A TOP DESTINATION AS CONDITIONS ARE PRIME FOR ANGLERS RIGHT NOW. THE UPPER RIVER CONTINUES TO OFFER GREAT ACTION FOR ANGLERS LOOKING TO THROW DRY FLIES AT RISING TROUT. THERE ARE CADDIS, YELLOW SALLIES AND PALE MORNING DUNS ALONG THE RIVER AND HOPPER DROPPER RIGS ARE PRODUCING SOLID RESULTS AS WELL.
LOOK FOR FLOWS IN THE BLUE RIVER BELOW DILLON TO CONTINUE TO DROP AS INFLOWS INTO THE RESERVOIR HAVE FALLEN. THIS WILL COME AS GREAT NEWS TO WADE ANGLERS LOOKING FOR BETTER ACCESSABILITY TO ALL THE GREAT DRY FLY ACTION CURRENTLY HAPPENING OUT THERE. WITH CADDIS, YELLOW SALLIES, PMDS AND EVEN A GREEN DRAKE OR TWO, THERE ARE PLENTY OF OPTIONS FOR ANGLERS TO CONSIDER.
