July 19 Krystal 93 Colorado Fishing Report
July 19th, 2011
GOOD MORNING SUMMIT COUNTY, I’M ANDREW WITH THE COLORADO ANGLER AND THIS IS YOUR HIGH COUNTRY FISHING REPORT FOR TUESDAY, JULY 19TH.
WOW, WHAT A SHOW LAST NIGHT. THAT WAS ONE OF THE WILDEST ELECTRICAL DISPLAYS AROUND HERE IN RECENT MEMORY. UNFORTUNATELY WITH THAT LIGHTNING, CAME A FAIR BIT OF RAIN.
FOR THAT REASON, THE STILL WATER OPTIONS MAY BE A BETTER CHOICE FOR TODAY AS STREAM FLOWS ON MANY OF OUR LOCAL RIVERS HAVE SEEN AN OVERNIGHT INCREASE.
LET’S START WITH CRYSTAL LAKE. ACTION REMAINS SOLID ON THIS SMALL LAKE COUNTY IMPOUNDMENT. FISH ARE ACTIVE ON CALIBAETIS AND DAMSEL FLY PATTERNS.
OVER IN SOUTH PARK, ANTERO AND SPINNEY MOUNTAIN RESERVOIRS CONTINUE TO PROVIDE EXCELLENT FISHING, THE FISH THERE ARE ALSO KEYED IN ON CALIBAETIS AND DAMSEL FLY IMITATIONS.
OR HEAD ON UP TO BLACK LAKES ON THE TOP OF VAIL PASS AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE RECENT BOOST IN THE TROUT POPULATION.
MAKE SURE TO KEEP AND EYE ON THE WEATHER TODAY AS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS IS IN THE FORECAST THIS AFTERNOON.
AS ALWAYS, FOR MORE DETAILED INFORMATION ON THESE OPTIONS AND OTHER TIPS FOR FINDING FISH, COME BY AND SEE US AT THE COLORADO ANGLER IN THE SUMMIT PLACE SHOPPING CENTER IN SILVERTHORNE, NEXT TO BLUE MOON BAKERY OR GIVE US A CALL AT 970.513.8055 AND BE SURE TO CHECK OUT OUR WEBSITE AT WWW.THECOLORADOANGLER.COM FOR MORE DETAILED INFORMATION.
