GOOD MORNING SUMMIT COUNTY, I’M ANDREW WITH THE COLORADO ANGLER AND THIS IS YOUR HIGH COUNTRY FISHING REPORT FOR SATURDAY, JULY 23RD.
CONDITIONS JUST ABOUT EVERYWHERE IN THE HIGH COUNTRY IS REALLY SHAPING UP FOR GREAT SUMMER FISHING. WITH THAT IN MIND, HERE ARE PLENTY OF OPTIONS TO CHECK OUT TODAY.
THE BLUE RIVER IN TOWN HAS DROPPED ABOUT 40% FROM ITS PEAK OF JUST LAST WEEK. FISH ARE FOCUSED ON MYSIS PATTERNS AS THE RIVER IS STILL FEEDING FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE RESERVOIR.
THE MIDDLE FORK OF THE PLATTE IS TEEMING WITH HATCHES AND OFFERS GREAT DRY FLY FISHING RIGHT NOW WITH STONE FLIES, CADDIS AND MULTIPLE MAYFLIES EMERGING DAILY.
THE ARKANSAS BETWEEN LEADVILLE AND TWIN LAKES IS COMING INTO MID-SEASON FORM, WADE FISHERMAN SHOULD CHECK OUT THIS CHANCE AT DRY FLY ACTION.
FURTHER DOWN RIVER FLOAT FISHING IS PRODUCING FANTASTIC ACTION ON DRY DROPPER SETUPS.
OVER ON THE EAGLE THE CADDIS HATCH IS MOVING UP RIVER AND BRINGING RISING FISH TO THE SURFACE.
