July 26 Kyrstal 93 Colorado Fishing Report
July 26th, 2011
GOOD MORNING SUMMIT COUNTY, I’M ANDREW WITH THE COLORADO ANGLER AND THIS IS YOUR HIGH COUNTRY FISHING REPORT FOR TUESDAY, JULY 26TH.
FLOWS ON THE COLORADO RIVER HAVE DROPPED TO LEVELS THAT ONCE AGAIN OFFER WADE AND FLOAT ANGLERS ACCESS TO THE RIVER WITH GREATER COMFORT. AS THE WATER HAS BEEN DROPPING OVER THE LAST WEEK, ACTION HAS BEEN SOLID ON NYMPH RIGS, BUT WITH TODAYS FORECAST CALLING FOR CLOUDS, THE POSSIBILITY FOR DRY FLY ACTIVITY IS STRONG.
FOR A MORE CHALLENGING OPTION TODAY, THE DREAM STREAM OF THE SOUTH PLATTE BELOW SPINNEY MOUNTAIN IS OFFERING WADE ANGLERS SOME GREAT OPPORTUNITIES TO STALK LARGER FISH. THE ANNUAL TRICO HATCH IS EMERGING AND FISH HAVE BEEN FEEDING ON WELL PLACED IMITATIONS.
AND IT APPEARS THAT DENVER WATER HAS FINALLY ALLOWED LAKE DILLON TO FILL AND START TO SPILL OVER THE TOP. THIS IS GREAT NEWS FOR THE RIVER BELOW TOWN. AS WATER TEMPERATURES WILL NOW RISE ENOUGH TO HOPEFULLY GENERATE SUMMER HATCHES, OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS WE WILL KEEP YOU POSTED ON THAT.
AS ALWAYS, FOR MORE DETAILED INFORMATION ON THESE OPTIONS AND OTHER TIPS FOR FINDING FISH, COME BY AND SEE US AT THE COLORADO ANGLER IN THE SUMMIT PLACE SHOPPING CENTER IN SILVERTHORNE, NEXT TO BLUE MOON BAKERY OR GIVE US A CALL AT 970.513.8055 AND BE SURE TO CHECK OUT OUR WEBSITE AT WWW.THECOLORARADOANGLER.COM FOR MORE DETAILED INFORMATION.
