Krystal 93 Radio, Morning Colorado Fishing Report – June 3, 2012
June 06th, 2012
The following report is from our daily, morning radio fishing report. We try to give a quick and informative overview of what is going on in the central mountains of Colorado. Keep in mind that this is a very limited format, as they only allow us 60 seconds. For a much more detailed report, feel free to call us at the shop or check out our fishing report on TheColoradoAngler.com. For those of you that may be interested, hear us live locally on Krystal 93 (93.9 FM), or go to: www.krystal93.com, to hear us from outside of Summit County. The report generally runs between 7:50 and 7:55 am.
GOOD MORNING SUMMIT COUNTY, I’M ANDREW WITH THE COLORADO ANGLER AND THIS IS YOUR HIGH COUNTRY FISHING REPORT FOR SUNDAY, JUNE 3RD.
FREE FISHING WEEKEND CONTINUES TODAY, SO HERE ARE A COUPLE OF IDEAS ON WHERE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS ANNUAL FREEBIE.
CONDITIONS ON COLORADO NEAR PARSHALL ARE FANTASTIC FOR WADE FISHING RIGHT NOW, LOW FLOWS AND EMERGING INSECTS MAKE THIS A GOOD BET. A DRY DROPPER RIG WILL GIVE YOU THE FLEXIBILITY TO COVER ALL THE POTENTIAL OPTIONS. START WITH A STIMULATOR AND UNDERNEATH THAT TRY A DROPPER IMITATING A YELLOW SALLY OR CADDIS NYMPH.
FOR ANGLERS LOOKING FOR A LAKE TO ENJOY TODAY, HEAD ON OVER TO SPINNEY RESERVOIR IN SOUTH PARK. CHIRONOMIDS ARE IN FULL SWING RIGHT NOW WITH THICK HATCHES MOST DAYS. WE LIKE TO FISH A STATIC NYMPH RIG UNDER AN INDICATOR WITH MULTIPLE FLIES TO COVER DIFFERENT IMITATIONS AND DIFFERENT DEPTHS TO SEE WHERE THE FISH ARE FEEDING. A COUPLE OF SOLID FLIES ARE THE JUMBO JUJU, YANKEE BUZZER AND MERCER’S CALIBAETIS.
FOR MORE DETAILED INFORMATION ON THESE OPTIONS AND OTHER TIPS FOR FINDING FISH, COME BY AND SEE US AT THE COLORADO ANGLER IN THE SUMMIT PLACE SHOPPING CENTER IN SILVERTHORNE, NEXT TO BLUE MOON BAKERY OR GIVE US A CALL AT 970.513.8055.
